GPLANN is a locally owned event rental company serving Edmonton and surrounding areas. We provide tents, tables, chairs, linens, décor, and event equipment for weddings, parties, corporate events, and special occasions. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for someone who enjoys staying organized, helping customers, and keeping daily operations running smoothly.
This is more than an office job — you'll become an important part of our team, helping create memorable events while making a real difference every day. This is a full-time position, supporting both our office and our rental operations.
About 80% of this role is customer service. You'll answer phone calls, help walk-in customers, respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, follow up with customers, and help turn those quotes into bookings. You'll also be the one dealing directly with customers when they pick up their rental equipment and when they bring it back — customer service really is the heart of this job.
The rest of the role is whatever the business needs. Some days that's administrative work; other days it's organizing the shop, cleaning up, preparing rental orders, or cleaning equipment. We're still a small company, so everybody pitches in wherever they're needed — you might be preparing a quote at your desk one minute and helping prep equipment the next. This isn't a job that fits neatly into one description, and we like it that way.
Previous customer service or administrative experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person.
This position is only the second role GPLANN has ever hired for. Joining this early means there's real room to grow — as we get bigger, we'll need people who can take on more responsibility, train others, help lead a team, and eventually manage parts of the business.
We can't promise a specific title or timeline today. But someone who joins early, does great work, earns our trust, and helps us build this company is going to have a real shot at moving up as we grow. We're not looking for someone after a short-term job — we're hoping to find someone who wants to grow with us for the long haul.
Includes St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Leduc, Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont and nearby communities.
