Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Effective date: April 17, 2026
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website located at https://gplann.com/ (the “Website”), including EventCanvas and other features made available through the Website.
The Website is owned and operated by GPLANN Event Rentals Inc. (“GPLANN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Website or EventCanvas, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must stop using the Website and EventCanvas.
1. Scope of These Terms
These Terms govern use of the Website and EventCanvas. They do not govern the rental of equipment or services from GPLANN.
All quotes, reservations, payments, cancellations, deliveries, pickups, equipment use, damage, and other rental-related matters are governed by GPLANN’s separate Rental Agreement and any applicable quote, order, or written agreement.
If these Terms conflict with the Rental Agreement concerning a rental transaction, the Rental Agreement will govern.
Anyone may access the Website, but GPLANN’s rental services are offered only within Edmonton and surrounding Alberta communities.
2. Website Information
The Website allows users to browse GPLANN’s products and services and submit quote requests. It does not allow users to complete a rental reservation or make a rental payment directly through the Website.
Product descriptions, photographs, prices, dimensions, specifications, availability, service information, and other Website content are provided for general reference only. Although we try to keep this information accurate and current, it may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.
We may correct errors and change Website information, products, prices, specifications, or availability at any time without notice.
Product photographs are illustrative. Colours, appearance, condition, dimensions, and other characteristics may differ from what appears on a screen or is described on the Website.
3. Quote Requests
A quote request is an inquiry only. Submitting one does not:
Create a reservation or rental agreement;
Guarantee the availability of any product, service, or event date;
Temporarily hold inventory or an event date;
Guarantee the pricing displayed or estimated on the Website; or
Require GPLANN to accept or fulfil the request.
A reservation is confirmed only after GPLANN issues or approves the applicable quote and the customer completes all requirements stated in the Rental Agreement, quote, or other reservation documents.
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a quote request. By submitting one, you represent that you are at least 18.
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information. If you provide personal information concerning another person, you represent that you have the authority or consent required to provide it.
GPLANN may decline or choose not to respond to a quote request at its discretion, subject to applicable law.
4. EventCanvas
EventCanvas is a free event-layout planning tool made available through the Website.
Users may create, save, download, print, share, and use their EventCanvas layouts for personal or commercial event-planning purposes.
Planning estimates only
EventCanvas layouts, measurements, capacities, object dimensions, spacing, placements, calculations, and recommendations are estimates provided for preliminary planning purposes only.
EventCanvas is not an engineering, architectural, safety, fire-code, occupancy, accessibility, tent-installation, utility-locating, or regulatory-compliance service. Its outputs must not be treated as professional advice or as confirmation that a layout is safe, accurate, suitable, or legally compliant.
You are responsible for independently verifying:
Site and venue measurements;
Product and equipment dimensions;
Guest and occupancy capacities;
Entrances, exits, aisles, and emergency access;
Accessibility requirements;
Fire, building, safety, and occupancy requirements;
Tent placement, anchoring, utility-clearance, and installation requirements; and
All other applicable laws, codes, permits, venue rules, and professional requirements.
You must consult the appropriate venue representatives, suppliers, qualified professionals, or government authorities when necessary.
Layout ownership and storage
You retain ownership of the original layouts you create using EventCanvas.
EventCanvas operates within your browser or device. GPLANN does not receive, access, or retain your layouts unless you independently choose to send or otherwise share a layout with GPLANN.
You are responsible for saving or downloading any layout you wish to keep. Clearing browser data, changing devices, software errors, or other circumstances may cause locally stored information to be lost.
Availability
EventCanvas is provided “as is” and “as available.” GPLANN does not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every browser, device, operating system, or assistive technology.
GPLANN may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue EventCanvas or any of its features at any time without notice.
5. Acceptable Use
You may use the Website and EventCanvas only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not:
Use the Website or EventCanvas unlawfully, fraudulently, or deceptively;
Violate another person’s privacy, intellectual property, contractual, or other rights;
Submit false, misleading, threatening, defamatory, infringing, malicious, or otherwise harmful information or content;
Introduce viruses, malware, malicious code, or other harmful technology;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its systems, servers, data, or connected services;
Disrupt or interfere with the operation, performance, availability, or security of the Website or EventCanvas;
Interfere with another person’s use of the Website or EventCanvas;
Scrape, crawl, harvest, or automatically extract Website content or data without GPLANN’s written permission;
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, modify, or attempt to discover the source code or underlying structure of EventCanvas, except to the limited extent such a restriction is prohibited by law;
Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access, security, or usage restriction; or
Encourage, assist, or permit another person to do any of the above.
6. Intellectual Property
Except for user-created layouts and content owned by others, the Website, EventCanvas, and their content are owned by or licensed to GPLANN and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
This includes GPLANN’s:
Business names, trademarks, and logos;
Website design and layout;
Software, source code, and functionality;
Product photographs and descriptions;
Articles and written content;
Illustrations, graphics, icons, and visual elements; and
Other Website materials.
You may view Website content for your personal use or legitimate internal business purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, modify, publicly display, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit GPLANN’s content without prior written permission.
No ownership rights are transferred to you under these Terms.
You may link to publicly available Website pages if the link is lawful and accurate and does not falsely suggest GPLANN’s endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, affiliation, or approval.
7. User-Submitted Content
You may have opportunities to submit reviews, testimonials, photographs, comments, feedback, or other content intended for publication or promotional use (“Submitted Content”).
You retain ownership of your Submitted Content. However, by submitting content for publication or promotional use, you grant GPLANN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, continuing licence to display, reproduce, publish, distribute, adapt for formatting, and use that content on its Website, social media accounts, advertisements, and other promotional or business materials.
GPLANN may edit Submitted Content for length, formatting, spelling, grammar, or clarity but will not intentionally change its material meaning.
You represent and warrant that:
You own the Submitted Content or have all necessary rights to provide it;
You have obtained permission from every person shown, named, quoted, or identifiable in it;
GPLANN’s permitted use will not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual property, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
The content is accurate and not misleading; and
The content is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, infringing, malicious, or otherwise harmful.
GPLANN is not required to publish Submitted Content and may decline, remove, or stop using it at any time.
Personal information contained in Submitted Content will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Text Messages
GPLANN may send text messages to Canadian mobile phone numbers concerning inquiries, quotes, reservations, deliveries, pickups, services, and, where permitted by law, marketing or promotional offers.
GPLANN’s text-message number is 587-200-5200.
When you submit a quote request and provide your mobile number, GPLANN may send messages relating to your inquiry and may rely on time-limited implied consent to send commercial electronic messages only to the extent permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation and other applicable laws.
Submitting a quote request is not express consent to receive ongoing promotional messages. GPLANN will not continue sending promotional text messages after the applicable implied-consent period expires unless another valid basis for sending them exists.
Message frequency varies based on your inquiries, quotes, reservations, and interactions with GPLANN. Message and data rates may apply. Availability and delivery depend on your Canadian mobile carrier. Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
You may:
Reply STOP to 587-200-5200 to unsubscribe; or
Reply HELP for assistance.
After you reply STOP, GPLANN will send a confirmation and will stop sending messages covered by your request. If you later wish to receive messages again, you must subscribe or otherwise provide valid consent again.
Unsubscribe requests will be honoured as required by applicable law. Unsubscribing from promotional messages will not prevent GPLANN from sending communications that are legally permitted or required in connection with an active inquiry, quote, reservation, transaction, safety issue, or service request.
For assistance, contact GPLANN at info@gplann.com or 587-200-5200.
9. Privacy
GPLANN’s collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy:
https://gplann.com/privacy-policy/
By submitting information through the Website, you acknowledge that it will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services, including rental-management services, mapping services, social media platforms, and other external resources.
Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. GPLANN does not control and is not responsible for their:
Content or accuracy;
Availability or performance;
Security;
Products or services;
Terms and conditions; or
Privacy or data-handling practices.
A link or integration does not imply that GPLANN endorses or guarantees the third party. You access and use third-party websites and services at your own risk.
11. Suspension and Termination
GPLANN may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Website or EventCanvas without notice when reasonably necessary to:
Address a violation of these Terms;
Prevent misuse, fraud, harm, or unlawful activity;
Protect the security or operation of the Website;
Protect GPLANN, its users, or another person;
Comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; or
Respond to another material legal or security risk.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose before termination. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination will remain in effect, including those concerning intellectual property, Submitted Content, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website, EventCanvas, and all related content and features are provided “as is” and “as available,” without representations, warranties, or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or collateral.
GPLANN does not warrant that:
The Website or EventCanvas will meet your particular needs;
Information or calculations will be complete, accurate, or current;
Products, services, or event dates will be available;
The Website or EventCanvas will operate without interruption or error;
Defects or errors will be corrected;
The Website will be secure or free from harmful components; or
Any layout, measurement, capacity, recommendation, or other output will be safe, suitable, or legally compliant.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPLANN disclaims all implied warranties and conditions, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and those arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPLANN and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, aggravated, or consequential damages arising from or relating to the Website, EventCanvas, these Terms, or your reliance on Website information.
This exclusion includes, without limitation:
Lost profits, revenue, business, or business opportunities;
Lost or corrupted data;
Loss of goodwill;
Event-planning, redesign, replacement, or cancellation costs;
Costs arising from inaccurate measurements or layouts; and
Losses resulting from interruption, errors, unauthorized access, or third-party services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPLANN’s total cumulative liability for all claims arising from or relating to the Website, EventCanvas, or these Terms will not exceed $100 CAD.
These exclusions and limitations apply regardless of the legal basis of the claim and even if GPLANN knew or should have known that the loss was possible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations, in which case they will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GPLANN and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, and reasonable legal costs arising from or relating to:
Your misuse of the Website or EventCanvas;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your unlawful or wrongful conduct;
Submitted Content you provide; or
Your infringement or violation of another person’s rights.
Your indemnification obligation applies only to the extent the claim or loss was caused by your conduct. It does not require you to indemnify GPLANN for losses caused by GPLANN’s own conduct.
15. Changes to the Website and These Terms
GPLANN may modify, remove, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Website or EventCanvas without notice.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on the Website with an updated “Last updated” date and will apply from the effective date stated in the revised Terms.
Your continued use of the Website or EventCanvas after revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree with an update, you must stop using the Website and EventCanvas.
16. Electronic Communications and Notices
Where permitted by law, GPLANN may provide communications or notices relating to these Terms by email, text message, or a notice posted on the Website.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information you provide is accurate and current.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any rights that cannot legally be waived, you and GPLANN agree that disputes arising from or relating to these Terms, the Website, or EventCanvas will be brought exclusively before the courts located in Edmonton, Alberta.
18. General Provisions
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the documents they expressly reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and GPLANN concerning use of the Website and EventCanvas. They replace prior discussions, representations, statements, and agreements concerning that subject matter.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
No waiver
A delay or failure by GPLANN to exercise or enforce a right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
Assignment
GPLANN may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms, including as part of a sale, merger, restructuring, financing, or transfer of all or part of its business, assets, or Website.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without GPLANN’s prior written consent.
Headings
Section headings are included for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
